Austrian company "Doppelmayr" opened office in Belgrade

Yesterday (November 1, 2006), after two years of successful cooperation with Serbian partners on construction of ski lifts on Kopaonik, international company "Doppelmayr" opened office in Belgrade.

The ceremony occasioned by that event took place in the presence of the Ambassador of Austria to Belgrade, Gerhard Jandl, who announced that he expected even bigger presence of Austrian companies on the market of Serbia.

- The arrival of the company that is one of the leaders in production of ropeways is the proof that the investments of the state in the development of winter tourism brought foreign partners who are ready to participate in the new investment projects. "Doppelmayr" has already proved itself in the construction of three ski lifts on Kopaonik, which contributed to the increase in number of bed&breakfasts on that destination. The same effects are expected after construction of ski centers on Golija, Vlasina and Stara mountain, where construction of big Olympic village is planned, for which about 50 ha of land have already been rented - said Mlađan Dinkić, retired Minister of Finance.
