Arabian Mubadala to invest USD 4 billion - August 1 to see negotiations on chip production plant

UAE-based Mubada is interested to build the plamt for chip production in Serbia, director of the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA), Bozidar Laganin has said for Tanjug today.

- The Arabian company is currently undergoing a pre-investment process which comprises collection of a large number of information since it a technologically very demanding project - he said.

When asked about the expected investment amount, Laganin said it could be some USD 4 billion based on the projects estimation Mubadala implemented in USA and Germany.

He did not state optional locations, saying that SIEPA does not go public with these information before the finalization of the contract. He only said that there are location offered to Mubadala.

Today`s daily, Blic, reports that negotiations with this company start on Thursday (August 1, 2013) when the General Manager, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak is arriving to Belgrade.
