July 23 to see who will get TV Avala frequency

On Tuesday, July 23, future user of frequency where TV Avala program was broadcast, will be elected by secret voting of nine members of the Republic Broadcasting Agency. The candidate with at least five votes will get the frequency.

On Wednesday, members of the Council of the Republic Broadcasting Agency, talked for an hour with representatives of TV Nova and Kopernikus and according to Goran Karadzic, "very specific candidates" are in question.

- We will decide on Tuesday by secret voting. Therefore, I cannot reveal details of the conversation. I will just say they told us everything we asked for - Karadzic said.

Vladan Mitic, General Manager presented Kopernikus TV who says for Blic that their concept is first of all based on information programme but also on documentary and cultural-educational shows.

- There will be no Turkish shows or realities, we will focus on domestic production - Mitic says and adds that after ten years of existence, they expect a national frequency.

He points out that Kopernikus Cable Network is not a cable operator but that it has three TV channels which are broadcast over the cable network. Cable operator is Kopernikus Technology and these two companies are not legally connected.

TV Nova was presented by its General Manager, Dragan Djurkovic, who was a producer of "Budva na pjenu od mora" and "Pevaj, brate", which were broadcast on TV Prva.
