Mobile device advertising to earn USD 8,9 billion
Last year, global revenues from advertising via mobile devices rose by 82.8% to USD 8.9 billion, from USD 5.3 billion which were generated in 2011.
Representatives of Interactive Advertising Bureau"(AIB), which collected data, estimate that mobile devices are becoming an increasingly important advertising medium which expand range for content and communication, Bug.hr reports.
The largest market for mobile advertising is the Asia-Pacific region with a share of 40.2% and the North America has a bit smaller stake of 39.8%.
Western Europe with a share of 16.9% takes the third place, followed by regions with a very small stakes - Central Europe (1.3%), Middle East and Africa (1.2%) and Latin America (0.6%) .
The most important reason for the tremendous growth of mobile advertising is the growing popularity of "smart" mobile phones, greater availability of 3G and 4G mobile networks, and better ads directing.
