Delhaize appoints John Kyritsis as new director general for Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro
New director-general of Delhaize Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro as of July 15 will be John Kyritsis, who will replace David Vander Schueren in that position, while Mr. Schueren is going to assume a new post in Greece, the company announced in a release.
Kyritsis is coming from the position of Delhaize director-general in Greece, where he was born, but he spent most of his life in South Africa.
He majored in Finance at the University of South Africa and joined the Delhaize Group in 1993. He has been holding various executive positions at this company in Europe and Indonesia.
Vander Skuren will assume the position of senior vice-president for the synergy of direct procurementrs and private trademark development for southeast Europe in Greece.
He has been the director-general of Delhaize Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro since the Delta Maxi takeover in 2011.
People at the Delhaize Group remind that they plan to open 150 new stores in Serbia, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, and Indonesia, adding that Delhaize Serbia has started building a large distribution center in Stara Pazova.
