Turks offer EUR 7.1 million for Kontejnerski Terminal in Bar
Turkey's Global Ports from Istanbul has offered EUR 7.1 million for a majority stake in the Kontejnerski Terminal (Container Terminal) company based in Bar, the Montenegrin government's Tender Committee for Privatization announced in a release.
Global Ports' offer for a 62.1-percent stake in Kontejnerski Terminal was the only bid submitted to the Tender Committee.
According to the release, Global Ports has also offered to implement an investment program involving a EUR 2 million investment in infrastructure development and an investment of EUR 11.5 million in the acquisition of equipment over a period of three years.
Global Ports currently operates three leading commercial and cruising ports in Turkey, one of which is engaged in container terminal operations.
