Serbia - Credit of €150m for clinical centers, engagement of private companies in health care institutions, rental of health care facilities

Minister of Finance of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, announced reorganization of financing of health care sector, which would imply hiring of private companies for certain jobs in medical institutions. Dinkić also announced credit of €150m by European Agency for Reconstruction, which would be invested in ``complete modernization`` of clinical centers in Belgrade and several other major cities in Serbia.

Medical institutions were asked to deliver the list of the facilities that are not used in order to be sold. The means earned in this way will be used for settling of debts of the Health Care Fund. In case authorized persons do not obey, he said that those facilities could be for rented.
