PKB seeds exported to Ukraine, Russia, Iran
The warehouse of PKB Agroseme is empty this spring after many years because the company has additionally processed, repacked and delivered 1,040 tonnes of seed corn to buyers in the country and all around the world.
About 400 tonnes of goods have been additionally processed for the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, while corn has been exported to Macedonia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Russia, and Iran. The company has exported goods that were in stock between 2008 and 2012.
PKB Agroseme CEO Danka Dujovic said that that factory had additionally processed Sinxentine hybrids and Agroekonomik corn as well.
- Last October we additionally processed 243 tonnes of soybean for Victoria Group, while a portion of seeds was used in sowing the fields of PKB. Considering that 2012 was a year of droughts, seeds are of excellent quality - Dujovic pointed out.
The factory is now being prepared for the new season, and so is the storage space for new seeds, wheat and barley. The warehouse disinsection will be completed by June 10, while additional processing will commence as soon as barley is received.
People at that factory plan to work at full steam and in three shifts from June 15 until they finish additional processing, which will most probably be completed by November, PKB's daily Poljoindustrija has reprted.
