EIB to approve EUR 0.5 billion loan for SME development in Serbia
Governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Jorgovanka Tabakovic said Friday (14 June 2013) that the European Investment Bank (EIB) would extend a EUR 0.5 billion loan to Serbia for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
She told the summit of finance ministers and governors of the region in Becici that the banking system in Serbia was stable, adding that there was no reason for concern.
- This is confirmed by the fact that the EIB is going to approve a credit line of EUR 500 million to Serbia for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. This means that Serbia is trusted and deemed a favorable investment destination - Tabakovic pointed out.
She said this during the panel discussion "Economic Future of the Region - Monetary Policy as a Tool for Exiting the Crisis."
