Financing of exports to Russia - Sberbank announced support to Serbian companies

Yesterday, the Minister of Finance and Trade, Mladjan Dinkic, met Vice President of Sberbanka, Sergey Gokov and the President of the Sberbanka Serbia, Valerij Ovsjanikov. He discussed with them an option of potential cooperation through the support of Serbian export to Russian market and investments in Serbia, the Ministry of Finance informed.
Vice President of Sberbank, Gokov said that Serbia could count on a far more serious support of Sberbank when it comes to financing of local trade. They also discussed an option that Sberbanka in the upcoming period provides support to investors coming from Russia and ex USSR countries, such as Belarus and Kazakhstan.
At the meeting, they also agreed to intensify talks on support Sberbank could provide to stimulate Serbian export to Russia via the Agency for Serbian Export Insurance and Financing (AOFI).
Sberbank management informed the Minister Dinkic that it wanted to provide more direct support to Serbian companies and they also pointed out they were planning to develop special program to fund agriculture workers.
