Labod starts selecting workers - Textile production in Rekovac still on hold
Slovenia's textile company Labod will be interviewing job candidates within the next month, after which it should commence production in Rekovac, Rekovac Mayor Predrag Djordjevic told Beta news agency.
About 70 people have applied for a job at this factory. According to an agreement, Labod has promised to hire 82 workers, which will secure that company a government incentive of EUR 7,000 per worker.
- Labod will first hire between 30 and 40 experienced workers. Other candidates will have to complete a training and should get a job in few months. The plan is to increase the number of workers as production grows - said Djordjevic.
Djordjevic noted that a new production facility had been completed with part of machines already installed and final preparations for the launch of production underway.
Labod was famous in former Yugoslavia for its shirts, overalls and uniforms.
