PETROVIC: Two years ago nobody knew milk regulations even existed
(Slobodan Petrovic)
Danube Foods Group CEO Slobodan Petrovic stated last night that two years earlier nobody had known about the change in the Regulations on Milk.
- Neither people at the Ministry of Agriculture nor businessmen knew that that rigorous European standard had been adopted and that the allowed level of aflatoxin had been reduced from 0.5 to 0.05 micrograms per kilogram - Petrovic said at a panel discussion at the Kopaonik Business Forum.
According to him, the World Health Organization keeps the highest allowed level of aflatoxin at 0.5 micrograms per kilogram and "nobody has died or fell sick from aflatoxin."
Petrovic reiterated that milk in Serbia was healthy and safe, recommending to everybody to freely consume it.
