Representatives of Italy's Fondital, which is interested in building a radiator factory in Kovin Industrial Zone, visited this municipality in Banat last week.

As the radio and TV station Pancevo reported, their meeting with the representatives of the Kovin municipality was attended by Aleksandar Ljubic, state secretary in the Ministry of Finance and Economy, and SIEPA Director Bozidar Laganin.

Fondital intends to invest in a factory that would employ 150 people, and they need about 10 hectares of land to build that complex. The entire production would be exported, mainly to Russia. As it was explained, the whole project would cost about EUR 15 million.

Representatives of the Italian company presented their project at the meeting, while Kovin officials spoke about the potentials of their municipality and the advantages offered to investors.

The meeting with Fondital representatives was also attended by Ana Novkovic, a member of the Serbian parliament. She stressed on behalf of Kovin that the investor was offered to be provided with the missing infrastructure in the industrial zone.

- We also intend to exempt them from all possible taxes, so they could actually get a land for free. What I've promised is to negotiate a cheaper price for them even for municipal services. Also, I've promised them absolute support from the local self-government and a special team that will be collecting all necessary permits and documents for them – Novkovic pointed out.

As Fondital representatives explained, about 15,000 square meters of space would be built in the first phase.

Representatives of the investor, government and local management also toured a site where this radiator factory could be built.
