BIM-tex opens new textile plant in Leskovac - Jobs for 50 people
Yarn manufacturer BIM-tex today officially started the production of thread for mechanical and hand weaving at its new plant in Leskovac, which will soon employ 50 workers.
Bozidar Stojiljkovic, the owner of BIM-tex, stated that 1.5 million euros had been invested in the new plant, adding that serial production would begin in a month.
The new plant was also connected to the gas pipeline today, which should significantly lower the costs of production.
BIM-tex produces yarns for knitwear and the stocking industry and already employs 60 workers. Over the last 10 years it has invested about EUR 12 million in new machines and production facilities.
BIM-tex annually produces EUR 2.5 million worth of yarns, with 60 percent of them exported to EU countries.
