Cooperation between Serbian and Belarusian railway companies

Belarusian railway company is interested in becoming a business partner of Serbian Railways, and the railway industries of the two countries could together produce cars for their own needs and the market, Serbian Railways CEO Dragoljub Simonovic and Ambassador of Belarus to Serbia Vladimir Chusev concluded at a meeting Thursday.

The economy of Belarus is ready to participate in tenders for the modernization of Serbian railway infrastructure and win contracts by offering competitive quality and prices, Serbian Railways said in a release.

Belarus and Serbia have so much in common, they are linked by traditional and historical ties, so the common interest is to improve the economic cooperation in addition to maintaining friendly relations, it was said at the meeting.

As it was announced, the meeting was held as part of preparations for the announced visit of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic to Belarus.

Chusev expressed a special interest in the product portfolio and status of the Railway Car Factory in Kraljevo.

Representatives of the Serbian railway company also introduced the ambassador of Belarus to the needs of this company for freight cars for the following period.
