SEKULOVIĆ: "Invest Expo" is a pioneer party to Serbia

The first investment fair in Serbia – "Invest Expo 06", which was opened on September 6, 2006, in Kragujevac-based hotel "Šumarice", attracted exceptionally big number of visitors, among which were the representatives of the international investment funds, banks, embassies and importan domestic and foreign companies.

The first presentation took place immediately after the ceremonial opening of the Fair and it was dedicated to the guests who came to Kragujevac from the surrounding countries, as well as from the other regions of the Republic. All current potentials of central Serbia were represented on that occasion, as well as present investment opportunities of the entire country.

Speaking about the opportunities that Kragujevac and the regions of Šumadija, Pomoravlje and other regions of Serbia offer to those who decide to invest in them, the President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Kragujevac, Dušan Puača, pointed out that central Serbia can be more than interesting to the investors, but such opportunity must be used in the right way.

- The aim of "Invest Expo" Fair is to be the initial primer that will, on one side, induce municipalities and cities of central Serbia to establish firmer cooperation, whereas, on the other side, it will encourage the investors to invest in some of their local and regional projects. We all need foreign investments, because, without them, none of us will be able to develop at the pace we desire – Puača explained.

The deputy of the Minister of International Economic Relations, Vlatko Sekulović, invited all present representatives of foreign investment funds to take their operations in Serbia more seriously and he added that "Invest Expo 06" was the real pioneer celebration and he hoped that, in time, it would grow to become the traditional manifestation.
