Cuba interested in importing electric meters from Serbia
The Ministry of Industry and Energy of Cuba is interested in importing electric meters from Serbia as well as renewing cooperation with Mihajlo Pupin Institute, Cuban Ambassador Mercedes Martinez Valdes said in a talk with Serbian Energy Minister Zorana Mihajlovic.
The topic of the meeting was the improvement of cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector, especially in the domain of renewable energy sources, and the Cuban ambassador noted that her country had a problem with fuels, particularly petroleum, which (although available in sufficient quantities in Cuba) is not of good quality, so that they are forced to import it from Venezuela.
She stressed that traditionally good relations between Serbia and Cuba should be strengthened in the energy sector.
Valdes invited Zorana Mihajlovic to participate in the 12th Wind Energy Conference to be hosted by Cuba and held between June 3 and 6, and the Serbian minister confirmed her attendance.
Minister Mihajlovic gave the ambassador a book of priority projects that the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environment Protection presented in December 2012.
