Four-star holiday resort with the view of lake - Belgrade-based Planum to open EUR 5 million hotel at Mount Zlatibor by year's end

The mountain that is full of tourists the whole year long will get another hotel by the end of 2013. Belgrade-based Planum has announced the opening of a four-star resort in the very center of Mount Zlatibor.

Ljuba Pavlovic, executive director for hospitality and tourism at Planum, said in a talk with eKapija that all construction works had been finished, adding that furniture and other equipment for that hotel would be procured in the first half of 2013.

- Installation, plastering and interior works are done. We expect to start buying the required equipment soon, but it will take a while before we purchase all the furniture, given it will mainly be imported because it is impossible to procure everything a hotel may require in Serbia – said Pavlovic.

Planum's original plan was to have the hotel completed last year, but the deadlines have been changed.

- As soon as we receive some money, we invest it in the hotel. We are EUR 2 million short to finish the facility, and its completion depends on how successfully we charge fees for our services.

As Pavlovic explained, they wanted to expand their accommodation capacity, considering that Planum already owns a resort at our famous mountain.

- Our existing resort with 80 beds in double and triple rooms and suites is situated by the lake, below Palisad Hotel. We wanted to boost the capacity due to the increasing interest expressed by our guests. The 3,000 square meter hotel under construction will have a soul, beautiful suites, and it will make guests feel like at home. The new hotel, which will be named after the company, will be connected with the old resort through a reception desk - said our interlocutor.

Pavlovic pointed out that Planum Hotel would feature 10 suites and 35 rooms as well as accompanying amenities.

- Once the hotel is opened, we will be able to offer our guests the total of 180 beds. The facility will also comprise a restaurant serving national specialties, tavern, and a conference room.

As people at Planum announced, they will do their best to constantly enhance the quality of service, so that wellness services will be added to the offer shortly after the hotel opening.

In 1994 the Planum company established the travel agency Planumtours, which offers all kinds of travel to a large number of destinations in Serbia and abroad.

- We founded this agency with the aim of providing our workers with transportation and accommodation at all work destinations of our company worldwide. The offer was later expanded to include travel arrangements in the country and abroad – said the executive director for hospitality and tourism at Planum.

Planumtours organizes summer and winter vacations, visits to trade fairs and congresses, as well as travel for students and youth.
