Creditors get ownership stake in Mercator - Assembly okays recapitalization
Stakeholders of the Slovenian trade company Merkur made a decision at a meeting on Monday (10 December 2012) to convert the debt to 12 creditors amounting to minimum EUR 38.5 million into an ownership stake.
As it was announced at the regional economic web portal seebiz.eu, it was also decided that Slovenia's Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) should write off Merkur's debt of 25 million euros.
That should allow for further rehabilitation of the company in 2013, said Chairman of the Merkur Managing Board Blaz Pesjak.
