PSTech to hire another 80 people in 2013 - Software company plans to expand business in EU
(Branka Radovanovic at Ernst&Young's ceremony)
Branka Radovanovic and Goran Stevanovic, representatives of the software company Power Symbol Technology (PSTech), were the finalists for the prestigious award Entrepreneur Of The Year, which was this year, for the first time in Serbia, presented by the consulting company Ernst&Young.
This success once again confirmed PSTech's stability in business and the constant growth that this company has been reporting for years. This Belgrade-based firm, one of the most influential software businesses in the region, hired about 70 workers in 2012 and intends to continue in the same manner next year.
- We still have vacancies and always need new people. Our plan is to hire another 80 workers by the end of 2013 - Branka Radovanovic, director and co-owner of PSTech, says to eKapija, adding that the company currently employs 200 engineers. A little over a month ago, PSTech received employment incentives from the Finance Ministry.
Our interlocutor points out that she and Goran Stevanovic are very pleased to have entered the finals, stressing that the very fact that this award was presented in Serbia is extremely significant for better promotion of entrepreneurship in our country.
- People in our country do not speak enough about entrepreneurs. Therefore, I believe this is an excellent step towards changing that practice and improving the promotion of entrepreneurship, which have always been advocated by PSTech.
Branka Radovanovic also won the EBRD's Women in Business Award this year for her outstanding achievement in entrepreneurship.
The director PSTech stresses that they are satisfied with the business year that is nearing its end, adding that their results are much better than they expected.
- We are really pleased, primarily because we have fulfilled and exceeded all our plans. The volume of our business is constantly growing by 30 to 40 percent per year, which is a significant growth considering that we finance all projects from our own resources and that we have never applied for a loan - our interlocutor explains.
Conquering the European market
Almost 95 percent of PSTech's revenues come from exports. The company won the SIEPA Exporter of the Year Award in 2006 and 2009 in the SME category. It is important to mention that exports to the USA account for about 90 percent of all exports of this company.
- We win most of our contracts in the USA, which is, traditionally, the most important market for our company. The plan for 2013 is to expand our business in the European Union - says our interlocutor.
- PSTech works with two companies from the Netherlands and Germany, and we also started working with a company from Sweden a month ago. Of course, our aim is to grow outside Europe, and we have recently launched the first project in Singapore as well.
Branka Radovanovic notes that Power Symbol Technology expects over EUR 6 million worth of revenues in 2012.
Among the company's biggest clients are Cisco, Sony Ericsson, Adobe Systems, iQom.de, ezDerm, NewCardio, PointeCast, Latitude Communications, Wanadu Interactive, Jabbertise, Publitas, Telenor, Farmalogist, Vip mobile, Luna Fashion, Uniqa, Hypo-Alpe-Adria Bank...
