Conti increases staff in Svilajnac - Another 70 people to make packaging for car parts
Italy's Conti 3 srl, which moved its factory from Velika Plana to Svilajnac in late October and started producing packaging for components for Fiat vehicles in that town, intends to increase the number of its workers.
- Conti had 80 employees when it kicked off production. Company officials have confirmed to us that the company will nearly double its staff next year, to about 150, and that the factory will operate in three shifts - Svilajnac Mayor Predrag Milanovic said and pointed out that the Italian company was also interested in buying the facility it was currently using to stay in Svilajnac for good.
Antonio Gazero, director of the factory, stressed that they "currently work in two shifts," adding that "metal containers for packing components for Fiat vehicles make up most of the production."
Milanovic told Tanjug news agency that Conti had moved from Velika Plana to Svilajnac because of better infrastructure conditions and better connection with the Kragujevac FAS. Conti 3 srl is a partner of the Fiat Auto group.
