Horse-farm Kelebija !!

At the Serbian - Hungarian border, only 11 km from Subotica and a few hundred meters from the border itself, lies a wonderful place worth seeing: Ergela Kelebija, With its high-quality service it offers outstanding possibilities for organizing family and business gathering to tourists, companies, foreign and domestic visitors.

The horse farm was founded in 1993. The first breeding heads of horses originates from horse farms of former Yugoslavia: Lippica, Đakovo, Vučjak, Karađorđevo and Lipik.

Nowadays, the horse farm takes pride in its 65 Lippizaner horse, among which there are:

• 3 stallions (Favori, Neapolitano, Conversano)
• 23 mares (from 11 mare families Spadiglia, Deflorata, Dedrin, Gidrana, Margit, Strana, Miss Wood, Argentina, Presciana and Europa)
• 28 foals
• 11 yearlings

TOURISTIC PROGRAMME

HORSE FARM PROGRAMMES

1. Together with a tourist guide, we shall show you around the horse farm. You will be able to see interesting details like the unique stable with a glass wall, through which one has a view of the restaurant; then the stable with mares, the mares with their foals at the pasture ground, the coach museum, the coaches for parades and ceremonies, the cups and medals won in teams.
Duration: 1 - 1.5 hours
Ticket: 100 dins.

If required, this programme can be completed with a coach ride to the four-starred restaurant "Majur", situated 500 meters away, in a lively environment. While having a delicious lunch at the restaurants' terrace, guests can see emus, llamas in the surrounding park, and swans on the lake. Visitors can relax and enjoy the dazing scent of pinewood while taking a walk in a well-kept park. For those who would like to turn back the wheel of tome for 300 years, there is an extraordinary chance - a drive through the park in a stagecoach or in a four-horse-carriage.

2. Having returned to the horse farm, our visitors can themselves experience the beauty of riding. After a short performance given by the best riders from our school, all visitors have a chance to try that wonderful feeling of riding.

A LONG COACH RIDE IN THE FOREST
(for at least 15 persons)

1. Guest are welcomed at the horse farm with the best quince brandy. The caravan of teams of horses travels on winding paths through locust and pine tree forest to arrive at the bank of the artificial lake in the middle of the forest. Visitors who feel adventurous enough will have a chance to take the reins into their hands. If desired, there is a possibility of organizing forest picnics.
Ticket: 300 dins. per person.

2. Our club premises at the horse-farm are ideal for organizing receptions, birthday parties, where guests can enjoy a coach ride and children can ride ponies. This offer is for 60 persons at the most.
Renting of the club premises with the staff costs 3500 dins.

3. The restaurant at the horse farm is open only when arranged. It is suitable for organizing different kinds of celebrations, conferences, and business meetings with a tour of the horse farm, carriage ride, and lunch for 30 persons at the most.
Renting of the restaurant costs 6000 dins.

WEDDING RECEPTIONS

The stylish restaurant "Majur" is available for organizing wedding receptions for 100 guests at the most. As a wedding gift, we are offering the newlyweds a ride in a wonderful white carriage from the place of the wedding ceremony to the restaurant.

• Renting a carriage - two-horse team for maximum 3 hours costs 3500 dins.
• Renting a four-horse carriage for maximum 3 hours costs 7000 dins.

If the wedding ceremony takes place outside Subotica, the rental costs are increased for the cost of transportation by truck.

HORSE RIDING

There is a school for horse riding at the horse farm for members of the club. Due to an increasing interest for horse riding, the school is open for riders on weekdays as well as on weekends.

• school of riding for beginners (stride, trot inside the corral) 200 dins. per lesson
• field riding at the horse farm 300 dins. per lesson
• field riding for experienced riders (to the Kelebian wood) 500 dins. per lesson.

One riding lesson lasts for 50minutes
For children under the age of 10, we recommend riding ponies.

HORSE AND CARRIAGE PARADE

Traditionally, every summer there is a parade of Lippizaner horses organized at our horse farm. With the participation of 20 best students of our horse-riding school, you will have a chance to admire the parade of 40 graceful Lippizaner horses and enjoy the exquisite skills of their riders.
