Trstenik builds cold storage plant in Russia
The management of the municipality of Trstenik agreed on Monday (October 15th), when it signed a Protocol on Cooperation with the Russian city of Aksay, to build a cold storage plant and storage facilities on a land lot that is going to be allotted by the Progress Association from Aksay. This will open up an opportunity for farmers in the municipality of Trstenik to market their products in Russia. Aksay is situated in the Rostov region.
- To the satisfaction of the management of the Trstenik municipality, and hopefully our friends from Russia as well, we signed a Protocol on Cooperation with Aksay. We agreed to have the representatives of our cities make a plan for the export and import of fruits and vegetables for the next year. We hope that these agreements will benefit both sides, as well as that our cooperation will grow more intensive every year - said Trstenik Mayor Miroslav Aleksic.
Aleksic pointed out that the Protocol on Cooperation envisaged a cooperation in other fields as well.
- The plan is to work with the city of Aksay in the fields of entrepreneurship, culture and tourism in addition to agriculture. We will be glad if all these fields are included in our future plans because we, as a municipality, cherish good relations with Russian cities for many years - Aleksic stressed.
The municipality of Trstenik signed the Protocol on Cooperation with another Russian city, Vlasiha from the Moscow region, with which it also agreed a concrete cooperation in various fields.
