Metalac's revenues grew 18 percent through August 2012
The business results achieved by the companies of the Metalac Holding during the first eight months of this year were presented at the Belgrade Stock Exchange by Aleksandar Markovic, director general of the company Metalac Posudje (Metalac Dishes), who assessed that it can already be said that Metalac would have a good business year.
This holding company, which owns 10 production and 4 trade companies, reported an 18-percent revenue growth in the first eight months of 2012, primarily owing to exports, given that the domestic sales dropped 5 percent in that period. A particularly large growth was achieved in the Russian market, where the revenue of Metalac's local company Metrot rose 55 percent, to EUR 5.8 million.
The holding's production companies posted a collective revenue of RSD 2.4 billion through August, up 22.6 percent from the same period last year, whereas their gross profit amounted to RSD 217.9 million, up 42 percent from 2011.
Trade companies' revenue reached RSD 1.8 billion (up 20.6 percent), while the gross profit of these subsidiaries amounted to RSD 60.4 million (three times bigger than last year).
When it comes to foreign markets, aside from aforementioned Metrot, Metalac Podgorica also operated well and increased the sales by 7.1 percent. However, sales dropped in the Croatian market, while the new company in Ukraine already reported a revenue of EUR 0.4 million.
With the latest share price of RSD 1,581, Metalac's market cap amounts to RSD 1.6 billion(EUR 13.9 million).
