The Privatization Agency today advertised the sale of textile machinery and other movable and immovable property on the grounds of the factory Prvi Maj in Pirot.

The starting price for this part of the factory's property is set at EUR 2.098 million. A public auction will be held September 7th.

The deadline to submit applications for participation in this public auction expires August 30th, whereas a deposit for participation in the public auction amounts to EUR 420,000.

People at the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) told Tanjug news agency earlier that Prvi May would be offered for sale, adding that the buyer of that company would get state's incentives of EUR 6.65 million on the condition that 1,328 workers got hired.

As people at SIEPA noted, the total investment in Prvi Maj should amount to about EUR 11 million.

At its session on Thursday, the Serbian government adopted a Memorandum of Understanding defining the obligations of Slovenia's Mura, Pirot municipality and the republic of Serbia.

The media in Slovenia report that businessmen Mojca Lukancic and Nigel Bakston, who acquired the fashion company Mura from Murska Sobota while in bankruptcy, have expressed interest in taking over Prvi Maj.
