Euro to rise to RSD 130?
Serbia's national currency will keep depreciating, so it is realistic to expect Euro to be worth as much as RSD 130 by the year's end, economic analysts assess.
They point out that the only salvation for the fallen currency is an injection from abroad. Although Dinar strengthened a bit today, with the middle exchange rate amounting to RSD 118.77 for EUR 1, experts believe that nothing can save the national currency in a long run.
Drazenko Lukac, contributor to the web portal Makroekonomija, expects the value of Euro to reach RSD 130 by the year's end.
- The exchange rate primarily depends on the import-export ratio, price of money and supply and demand. Considering all bad factors in Serbia, it is possible for Euro to reach a new value by the end of this year. The only thing that could mitigate the decline of Dinar is an "infusion" from abroad in the form of a financial aid - Lukac stresses.
He adds that the appointment of Jorgovanka Tabakovic as the new governor of NBS is not a cause of a decrease in the value of Dinar.
- Two days is too short period for the market to react.
