Pay one, get another one for free - Shameless commercials of aesthetic surgeons
Some aesthetic surgeons accepted famous marketing trick - "payone, get another one for free".
Namely, they offer an option for ladies to get nose correction for free with breast augmentation. Mothers and daughters who, if they come together, have a quarter of discount, are target group.
The British Association of aesthetic and plastic surgeons was worried with these kinds of commercials, claiming that these kinds of offers were not in line with ethics. The Times wrote that Nigel Merker, future President of the European Association of aesthetic and plastic surgeons said:
- It is immoral and happening to huge extents. People should not generate business by saying to other people they will get discounts if they talk their mother or a neighbor into purchase – he said disappointedly.
Interventions of weight decrease and laser treatments are also part of the marketing policy and one of the commercials says: Recommend surgery intervention to a friend and pick up 100 pound in cash or 200 pounds discount for the next intervention".
