Pljevlja Coal Mine wants to take over Brown Coal Mine in Berane for EUR 1
(coal mine in Pljevlja)
Pljevlja Coal Mine is interested in taking over Berane-based Brown Coal Mine for EUR 1, Pobjeda reports. According to that newspaper, this idea is also supported by Greece's Balkan Energy, owner of the mine in Berane.
The Berane-based mine does not exploit the ore, but it is in a relatively good condition because it is maintained by 28 employees who receive their salaries on a regular basis.
Pljevlja Coal Mine's interest in the acquisition of the mine in Berane was confirmed yesterday to Pobjeda by Chairman of the Executive Board of Pljevlja Coal Mine Predrag Boskovic.
He did not want to speak about details because, as he explained, shareholders should make a final decision after the analysis.
