Israel and Serbia sign defense cooperation plan
Representatives of the defense ministries of Serbia and Israel have signed a bilateral defense cooperation plan for 2012, B92 reports.
The agreement, signed in Belgrade, stipulates cooperation between military police and search and rescue units.
The planned cooperation between the two ministries of defense and the two armies involves various forms of joint training, exchange of military education institutions' experts and mutual high-level visits, the Serbian Defense Ministry said on Friday.
The document was signed by Serbian Defense Ministry representative, Colonel Milan Konjikovac, and by Jacob Laor of the Israeli ministry, during a three-day visit by the Israeli delegation to their colleagues in Belgrade, which ended yesterday.
The Israeli delegation held talks with State Secretary at the Serbian Defense Ministry Tanja Miscevic, military police representatives and officials of the Yugoimport-SDPR weapons export public enterprise.
