Slovenians to get incentives if they buy Pirot-based Prvi Maj - SIEPA inks agreement with Mura
The company Mura and its partners will participate in a public auction for the sale of the textile company Prvi Maj in Pirot, which the Privatization Agency scheduled for June.
Mura's subsidiary in Serbia signed Tuesday (15 May 2012) an agreement with the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) to get incentives if it buys Prvi Maj.
Benetton and Sergio Tacchini are also interested in taking over Prvi Maj.
Mojca Lukancic, co-owner of Mura, explained that they intended to buy only three production facilities with adjacent land and machines. She added that Mura would only carry out production activities in Serbia. If this acquisition fails to happen, they have a back-up plan for the territory of ex-Yugoslavia, she explained.
