'Eco Feed' company opened a Plant for Production of Extruded Cattle and Fish Food

Prime Minister of Vojvodina, dr Bojan Pajtic and state and provincial Secretary for Science and Technological Development Professor dr Dragoslav Petroivc, opened on Saturday (21 April 2012) a modern plant for production of extruded foods intended for fish and animals, in the factory "Eco Feed" in Sečanj.

The entire project is worth around EUR 4 million, and it is a matter of the first "greenfield" investment of Sečanj municipality and one of the first buildings in the industrial area of this ​​Banat based municipality.

"Eco Feed" factory is at the same time 97th plant co-financed from the funds of Provincial Secretariat for Science and Technological Development within the program of support of technological development and export orientation of production capacity of Vojvodina. The entire investment for the construction of this plant, Vojvodina has provided € 930,000.

For fish and cattle food that fulfills all the conditions required for export to the EU, there is already interest among customers in Romania and Hungary and it is planned to export it in all countries of former Yugoslavia. "Eco Feed" employs 49 workers and several hundred associates will be involved in the business connected with this factory. Annual turnover of enterprises should be approximately EUR 10 million.
