Mars opens precision engineering plant in Beocin
A precision engineering plant of the company Mars, where parts for cell phones, medical and military equipment will be manufactured, has been opened in Business Park in Beocin.
This plant is the first to have been opened in Lafarge's Business Park, where 30 hectares have so far been equipped with infrastructure. All products from this plant will be exported.
The Vojvodina government has provided incentives for new jobs, for which an agreement was signed by Vojvodina Prime Minister Bojan Pajtic and Milan Radic, the owner of Mars.
Mars currently employs 154 people and plans to have over 350 employees in three years, it was said at the agreement signing ceremony.
Provincial Secretary of Labor Miroslav Vasin said that the Vojvodina government would help additional employment of another 50 workers over the next two months through incentives amounting to RSD 130,000 per worker.
