Banca Intesa in Serbia offers another debit card to its clients in Serbia – "Mastercard" with chip for additional protection

On the occasion of celebration of four years of successful cooperation between Banca Intesa and International Payment System "MasterCard", the manager of the retail department of that bank in Belgrade, Dejan Tešić, represented the new card that will enable additional protection from misuses and forgeries.

The basic feature of the new "Masterkard" card is that it contains chip that additionally protects clients and provides possibility of the additional electronic trade, safe access and data identification. Users of Banca Intesa will be able to take the new card after their old cards expire, but, on a special request, the card can be taken before the expiration of the old one.

President of "MasterCard" system in Europe, Xavier Perez, stated that, thanks to the technological equipment and good infrastructure, Serbia was the first country in Europe in which "MasterCard" issued that card.
