Construction of a new factory, which will employ 1,150 unemployed textile workers, will kick off soon in the city on the Veternica river. Turkey's Jeancy Serbia will start implementing an investment of few million euros in a 22,000-square-meter office space until May 1st at the latest.

With the support of the local self-government, the future production facility will be built on a 4.5-hectare land lot in the industrial zone Sever, in the vicinity of the newly built plant Falke, between Letex's heating plant and the building of Leskotex. After successfully implemented investments by Germany's Falke and South Korea's Yura, which will employ 2,300 new workers, a new investment and additional 1,150 jobs have been announced.

- It will be the biggest production facility in Leskovac. We've put much effort into completing the administrative procedure to allocate a 4.5 hectare land lot in the industrial zone Sever to the Turkish company - said people at the mayor's office.

The company Jeancy Instanbul operates in Serbia under the name of Jeancy Serbia. In Leskovac, in a rented and adapted office space of the ruined public company Letex, this company already sews jeans for world-famous fashion companies such as Versace, Cavalli, Ferre... Taner Bujkacin, owner of the company, said to Novosti that he intended to organize almost all phases of production of a broad range of textile products in Leskovac.

- The first products made in Serbia, that is, in Leskovac, are already delivered to Italy, and the goods we export to Russia for the retail company Colins are also ready for dispatch - said Bujkacin.

- I am satisfied with few tens of workers I've already hired and the readiness of government and local institutions to back business plans in the south of Serbia.
