Reliable couriers from Sabac - Balkan founds BEX parcel delivery company

Sabac-based Balkan, which was founded in 1997 and whose initial core activity was the provision of car insurance and registration services, set a goal for itself from the very start to diversify the business and expand operations to other sectors related to the transport and sale of cars, and it has succeeded in that.

The Balkan group today operates companies NewBalkan Trans, Balkan 2001, Fast Populis and Agencija Balkan. In addition to state-of-the-arts technologies, the group also owns up-to-date motor pool consisting of 12 new Scania trucks and 120 cars used by the courier service.

- Balkan currently employs 250 workers. Our staff mainly comprises young, highly educated people, who are provided with top working conditions and a chance for further specialization – says Luka Rajakovic from the company New Balkan Trans.

Balkan renders the following services: transport of vehicles in the country and abroad, trade in imported vehicles, vehicle inspection and insurance, rent-a-car and quick parcel delivery. Since recently, they also offer vehicle auctioning services, enabling their clients to bid for and buy vehicles while at home.

As our interlocutor explains, the biggest investment in the previous period is the formation of BEX courier service, with 15 centers across Serbia.

- Our intention is to open up new centers in the future. We constantly invest in technology and follow trends, which enables us to function flawlessly. BEX courier service uses a unique parcel tracking software, which is developed by our programers. This software makes it possible for our clients to see the status of their parcels at any moment - says Rajakovic.

Rajakovic stresses that international operations represent one of the company's main tasks.

- We transport vehicles from Germany, Holland, Austria, Italy, Belgium on a daily basis. Our trucks possess all necessary certificates and licenses for international transport. Also, BEX courier service enables its clients to have their parcels shipped to and from all countries of ex SFRY.

When it comes to plans for the following period, our interlocutor notes that Balkan wants to improve its existing activities and develop new ones.

- Our vision is to continue to hire young people, who will be provided with the best training and working conditions.
