At the Cote D'Azur with Pablo Picasso - Exhibition of works by famous Spanish artist opens in Belgrade
An exhibition of art objects made by the great Spanish artist Pablo Picasso, named "At the Cote D'Azur", was ceremoniously opened Thursday night (2 February 2012) in the building of Beko, 6-8 Vojvode Bojovica Boulevard.
This exhibition features a rarely seen collection of Picasso's ceramic, silver and gold art objects, which he created in the small town of Valori at the Cote D'Azur, and it will be open until 15 April 2012.
The exhibition was opened by Serbian Minister of Culture Predrag Markovic, and guests at the opening ceremony were also addressed by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Serbia Arturo Laclaustra Beltrán and Director of Cervantes Institute Antonio Lázaro Gozalo.
In addition to Raiffeisen Bank, the general sponsor, this exhibition is also supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, Cervantes Institute, UK Parobrod and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, while the organizers and producers of "At the Cote D'Azur" are Insomnia Prevent and Re:produkcija from Belgrade.
A professional tour for all visitors of the exhibition will be organized twice a week, on Wednesday and Saturday, 12 noon, 1 PM, 5 PM and 6 PM. Organizers also announced support programs, workshops, lectures and films about Pablo Picasso.
The regular price of the ticket is RSD 450, whereas the discounted price for group visits, pensioners, students and pupils is RSD 350.
