Government to grant EUR 2 million subsidies in 2012 for purchase of building machines, trucks made in Serbia

The Government of Serbia has passed the Regulation on subsidized purchase and overhaul of building machines and subsidized purchase of trucks and special superstructures made in Serbia and earmarked a total of RSD 190 million in the 2012 budget for that purpose.

This Regulation also envisages subsidies for those who want to exchange their old freight vehicle (truck) built in Serbia for a new one, for which RSD 10 million are set aside in the budget for this year.

Direct users of these subsidies are manufacturers, that is, building machine repairers and truck and superstructure producers in Serbia, whereas indirect users are end-buyers.

The Regulation came into effect on 13 January 2012.
