Energoprojekt hired to carry out reconstruction of smelter, construction of sulfuric acid plant in Bor - Agreement worth EUR 24.9m
Three companies within the Energoprojekt system - Energoprojekt Oprema, Energoprojekt Visokogradnja, and Energoprojekt Industrija, will join the implementation of RTB Bor's project aimed at the reconstruction of the smelter and the construction of a new sulfuric acid plant in Bor, Energoprojekt announced.
In the second half of December 2011, Energoprojekt Oprema and Finland's OUTOTEC Finland (a supplier of technologies to the smelter) signed an agreement for the reconstruction works on part of the smelter. The agreed value of the works to be carried out by Energoprojekt is EUR 24.9 million. The deadline for the project implementation is December 2013.
People at Energoprojekt remind that this company already signed an agreement on the construction of a new sulfuric acid plant with Canada's SNC Lavalin in September 2011, worth EUR 23.8 million, whereas Energoprojekt Industrija has concluded a special agreement with RTB Bor, worth EUR 0.4 million.
