MDD Group opens ULO storage in Kac - Investment worth RSD 354 million
MDD Group opened Wednesday a new-technology cold storage plant worth RSD 354 million in Kac. It is a ULO (Ultra Low Oxygen) storage, which represents the safest solution for storing fruits and vegetables. When products are kept in such chambers, their storage period is extended and their quality practically remains unchanged.
As it was announced at the opening ceremony, the business complex of MDD Group, which is situated on the main route Novi Sad-Zrenjanin, now uses a total of 19 fruit storage chambers.
Thanks to the opening of the new plant, 280 people will get a job either directly or through various forms of cooperation.
The plant was put into operation by Vojvodina Prime Minister Bojan Pajtic and Provincial Secretary for Science and Technological Development Dragoslav Petrovic.
As it was announced, the Vojvodina government set aside RSD 21 million for the opening of the new plant of MDD Group.
The Vojvodina government has so far granted such aid to about 90 companies for the opening of new-technology factories or facilities, which have employed over 20,000 people to date.
According to the data provided by the Vojvodina government, the Province has provided about RSD 2.5 billion for new-technology plants, which cost their owners additional RSD 8 billion.
