Greek knowledge, Serbian effort - production to start soon in units in factory "Kleman liftovi" in Šimanovci

In "Kleman liftovi" factory in Šimanovci, in the vicinity of Belgrade, the production of the first elevators according to the up-to-date Greek technology should start soon.

"Kleman" group entered Serbian market at the beginning of the year 2005 and, so far, it deals only with the distribution and sale of machines that come to Serbia directly from Greece.

According to the words of Tasos Karijakis, general manager of "Kleman" group, the factory in Šimanovci represents "joint venture" investment, so that, as far as the ownership over assets is concerned, it can be said that the company is Serbian-Greek one.

- During the first year we jointly invested nearly 1 million EUR. We decided that the first factory of that kind should be settled in Serbia because we recognized the potentials of the Serbian market. We are especially interested in expansion of business to the neighboring countries, as well as to the countries of former Soviet Union because of the favorable trade agreements that stimulate such export - said Kirijakis.

Some of the elevators produced by "Kleman" group have already been installed in the building of the Government of Serbia, the facility of Chinese Embassy, "Hemofarm" in Vršac, Theated on Terazije and other facilities.

It is interesting to say that the minimal price of one "Kleman" elevator amounts to about 10,000 EUR.
