The guidebook is meant for investors in RES projects, with the aim of providing an insight into the currently available information, with a focus on Serbian legislation, environmental protection, the procedure of issuing permits, sources of finance, as well as incentive systems.
As pointed out in a press release by RES Serbia, during the finalization of this guidebook, of the four wind farm projects that were successful at auctions, the construction of two has started, and the financing agreement has been signed for one, whereas all the auction winners in the field of solar energy have built their projects and put them into operation.
– Including the currently operating power plants, it seems that reaching the threshold of 1 GW in the near future is possible – it is said.
The authors of the guidebook are Nenad Jovanovic, PhD, the senior energy modeling consultants at Mott MacDonald, and Predrag Vidakovic, the founder of the Vidakovic Law Firm.
The guidebook is supposed to show new investors the complexity of the development of RES projects in Serbia, help them understand the regulations and procedures, as well as the need to understand the market circumstances, the investment environment and all the regulations, RES Serbia concludes in its press release.
