The British retail chain WHSmith is soon to arrive to the Serbian market. As Miller Group confirmed for the Retail Serbia portal, the first stores in Serbia will be opened in November and December at the Nikola Tesla Airport. During January 2025, the group plans to also open a third retail store, which will be located at the airport.

Miller Group adds that the first phase encompasses the opening of exclusive stores at Nikola Tesla Airport only, but that they can’t provide more information about the next phases of expansion in the Serbian market at the moment. The Malta-based Miller Group is an exclusive partner of the British company and the license owner for several markets.

WH Smith Group was founded in London and today operates in over 30 countries worldwide and employs 14,000 workers. Their stores are located in airports, rail stations, along highways, in business centers and in central city zones.

The WHSmith Travel Retail store format provides the customers with a wide range of food and drinks, exclusive sweets, digital gadgets, magazines, books… In Great Britain, the Travel format is present in over 580 locations, and in North America, there are 320, the same number as in the rest of the world.
