A request for the protection of rights was first filed in August, but on October 22, it was announced that the request had been rejected and the procedure continued. Only a day later, a new request for the protection of rights was filed and the procuring entity stopped the further activities within the public procurement procedure.
This is the second tendering procedure for these works. The previous one was opened in December last year, but was stopped because the bids that had been sent exceeded the estimated amount of close to EUR 18 million.
As the eKapija portal has already written, all this was preceded by the tendering procedure in which, for the section from the Ada Bridge to Kosutnjak, the consortium of companies gathered around Ras Inzenjering had been selected as the contractor. However, as the city has pointed out on several occasions, the agreement with this consortium was terminated “because the selected contractor did not want to continue the works due to the drastic increase in the prices of construction of materials.”
