The 40th General Assembly of the Association of European Public Postal Operators – PostEurop opened in Belgrade today, gathering representatives of 55 public postal operators from 53 member-states, and this year’s host of the gathering is the Post of Serbia. In 2023, in Bratislava, the Post of Serbia was selected to be the organizer, which, as pointed out, emphasizes the recognition of its status, competence and role in the European postal sector.

At the opening, the plans for the development of the postal industry in Europe and the challenges the sector is facing were discussed.

It was announced that the Post of Serbia would also host the accompanying Business Forum, to be held the next day, where artificial intelligence would be discussed.

PostEurop was founded in 1993 and it gathers European public postal operators, and its main goal is to support the development of the postal industry through the implementation of strategic projects of importance for public operators in Europe.
