Lucic says that the 5G mobile network, like every new technology, is faster than the previous one – 4G, but that a much more important thing is that signal delays on the 5G network are minimal, so it’s possible to work on robotization through the mobile technology.
– This, combined with artificial intelligence, will create a range of new technological advances – says Lucic.
The CEO of Telekom points out that the plan is to cover the whole Serbia with the 5G network by 2027, that is, by the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO in Belgrade, in cooperation with the strategic partner, Vodafone.
– We have implemented a part of the base stations which support the 5G technology and very soon, upon obtaining the permit from RATEL, we will put the network into operation. We are ready to cover all the cities with this technology in a year – emphasizes Lucic.
As he adds, from 2027, advanced services are expected too, like automated vehicles and the possibility of the use of various types of sensors on advanced mobile phones.
