Muehlbauer Technologies starts construction of technology center in Stara Pazova
Germany's Muehlbauer Technologies started the construction of a EUR 4 million technology center in Stara Pazova on Friday (October 21, 2011).
Muehlbauer is the global leader in high-tech security solutions for ID documents. This company utilizes advanced machines and software to make electronic documents, biometric passports and ID cards.
That company has opened the company Muehlbauer in Serbia in 2008, which is engaged in the production of biometric ID cards and passports and employs about 80 people, SIEPA announced.
At the ceremony of laying foundation stone for the technology center, which will be the only such complex outside Germany, Joseph Muehlbauer, owner of the company, announced that the works would be completed in March 2012 and that the production would be destined for export.
He said that the technology center would employ about 150 people, mainly highly educated experts. He also added that the number of employees at that technology center might grow to 200 until the end of 2012.
Muehlbauer Technologies signed an agreement with the municipality of Stara Pazova on September 9 and got a free land for the construction of a technology park.
The company was also granted EUR 500,000 worth of incentives through the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) for creating 100 new jobs.
