the multibillion-dollar ultraluxury market has not been immune to the pressures of inflation and high interest rates, not to mention political tension and financial unrest in many parts of the world. As Bloomberg recently put it, “It’s not a great time to sell a mega-mansion.” Nevertheless, robbreport.com presents an overview of the most expensive houses in the world that have been offered for sale. These are the top five.

5. The Billionaire Sky Penthouse, Dubai, U.A.E. — $205 Million

What’s shaping up to become one of the tallest residential buildings in the world will also feature one of the planet’s priciest dwellings once it’s complete. The exclusive $205 million Billionaire Sky Penthouse will crown the forthcoming Jacob & Co. hyper-tower in Dubai, which officially launched sales in June 2023.

Inspired by the watch and jewelry brand’s blingiest and most celebrated timepieces, the 22,000-square-foot duplex apartment will soar roughly 1,600 feet above the city-state with an indoor infinity pool that faces the famous Burj Khalifa and Dubai Creek Harbor. The first floor of the home will hold an impressive 950-square-foot gymnasium, a sauna and steam room, a study, an office, three living rooms, two kitchens, and two dining rooms. To top things off (literally), a movie theater, a family lounge, a billiards area, a massage room, and a massive 1,550-square-foot primary suite will be located upstairs.

4. One Hyde Park, London, England — $222 Million

London’s One Hyde Park is one of the city’s—and indeed the world’s—most coveted addresses, so it’s no surprise that one of its penthouse units is listed at a sky-high price of £175 million, or about $222 million. Spanning 18,000 square feet over two floors, there are five bedrooms, each with a unique ensuite bath, including a 2,300-square-foot primary suite with twin bathrooms and spacious dressing rooms. Other highlights include a double-height living room with a glass fireplace, a sleek kitchen, a cocktail bar, a home theater, a spa complex, a state-of-the-art gym, a separate staff suite, and secure underground parking for four cars.

3. Repulse Bay, Hong Kong, China — $280 Million

Since last year, Hong Kong has emerged as the priciest city for expats and one of the top-performing markets when it comes to ultra-luxury residential sales. At the very pinnacle of its housing stock is a record-setting $280 million mansion in Repulse Bay on the southern part of Hong Kong Island.

The trophy townhouse was initially scooped up in 2014 by local property firm First Group Holdings. The conversion project included turning the five-story apartment complex into an 11-bedroom, eight-bath single-family home. Completed in 2019, the approximately 18,300-square-foot stunner is decked out with a built-in elevator, a private garden, automatic gates, and a sprawling rooftop terrace with postcard views of the city and sea. The over-the-top abode also features lots of glossy marble, a swanky double staircase, a garage with an EV charger, and an outdoor patio that can accommodate over 100 guests.

2. Gordon Pointe, Naples, Florida — $295 Million

Gordon Pointe made headlines earlier this year when the Naples, Florida, estate was first hoisted onto the market asking a cool $295 million. The waterfront compound is currently the highest-priced listing in the U.S. and could set a record if it manages to fetch its lofty asking price.

The roughly nine-acre spread is nestled within the city’s sought-after Port Royal neighborhood and occupies a private peninsula with over 700 feet of beach-frontage and another 950 feet on Naples Bay.

Altogether, the sprawling retreat features three multi-million-dollar houses plus a private yacht basin. The primary residence comprises six bedrooms and a screened-in swimming pool. Elsewhere, the second house sports five bedrooms and a pool, while the third dwelling has the bonus of an 11-foot T-shaped dock that can accommodate six boats.

1. The Holme, London, England — $314 Million

Who wants to buy the most expensive home in the world? Sitting atop of the list is the Holme in London, currently on the market for $314 million. The Georgian-style property sits on four sprawling acres and dates back more than 200 years. Spanning a whopping 29,000 square feet, the palatial pad was put up for sale in March 2023 by its owner, Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan al-Saud, a member of the Saudi royal family.

Dubbed the “White House of Regent’s Park,” the massive estate comprises 40 bedrooms, a tennis court, a sauna, a library, a grand dining room, and garaging for up to eight cars. The residence also has sweeping views of the park’s tree-lined lake and picturesque lawns.
