Quattroruote has also written about the slight delay of the production of the new model relative to what the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has announced. He initially announced the beginning of the production for the fourth quarter of 2024, with October slated as “the first day”. In reality, Stellantis Group has never marked a precise date.
As Quattroruote writes now, the first serial Grande Pandas (so, not the pilot series or the pre-production) are expected to leave the Kragujevac factory in November. This is certainly a delay compared to the date announced by Vucic (and never confirmed by Stellantis), but minimal compared to what the Serbian press is afraid of.
The producer has confirmed for Quattroruote that the production is to take place in line with the deadlines set by the project: “The procedures of launching the production of Fiat Grande Panda are enfolding in line with the programs showcased in the past months. We have never mentioned launching the production at the beginning of October, but in 2024. The rumors that certain media are publishing are unfounded speculations.”
On the other hand, the group has not yet formalized the exact time of the market launch of Grande Panda or given precise information about its price (the announcement says that the electrical version will cost “less than EUR 25,000” and that the hybrid variety will cost “less than EUR 19,000”).
