Serbian wines included on wine list of cult British restaurant “The Fat Duck”

Selected Serbian wines from Fruska Gora and Toplica have been included on the wine list of the British restaurant “The Fat Duck”, which once placed first on the list of the TOP 50 restaurants in the world and which is a cult place which is considered to have influenced the definition of the 21st century high gastronomy, along with its founder and chef Heston Blumenthal.

– This is the biggest success for us and Serbian winemaking that we have ever achieved. The fact itself that the guests of one such restaurant have the opportunity to taste Serbian wines together with food made by the famous chef Heston Blumenthal is incredible – Nikola Salipur Niko, the director of Niko Wines, the biggest distributor of Serbian wines for the market of Great Britain, says for Vino & Fino.

The guests of the famous “Fat Duck”, located in Bray, Berkshire, around 40 kilometers from London, have the opportunity to taste three wines of the Doja winery – two Prokupac varieties and a Cabernet Sauvignon, three wines of the Erdevik winery – Trianon, which is paired on the degustation menu, Belluci Tamjanika and Nopi Djogri, and the wine list also features the Deuric Winery’s Pinot Noir.


In Michelin’s restaurants in Great Britain, the guests can currently taste Deuric’s Chardonnay, Marmelada and Gewurztraminer, Erdevik’s Grand Trianon Deux Mers, Grand Trianon, Ex Cathedra and Stiffler’s Mum, as well as the Vukoje Winery’s Zilavka and Carsko Vino, the Vincic Winery’s Grand Fru, the Lakicevic Winery’s Solaris and Alcedo, the Aleksic Winery’s Amanet Vranac and the Budimir Winery’s Slatka Mala.
