Cargo Transport Center in Vladicin Han, municipality's big potential
Recently announced tender for the construction of Caricina Dolina-Vladicin Han highway section now shows, with almost absolute certainty, that Corridor X will reach municipalities in the south of Serbia, thus attracting a number of investors interesting in exploiting the potential of municipalities situated alongside that big European traffic artery.
According to the words of Vladicin Han Mayor Nenad Mitrovic, that municipality has, therefore, already entered the SME project with the regional industrial zone. With this project, they will apply for a grant from the IP3 program, which is backed by the Serbian government, and they will also give support to neighboring municipalities - Surdulica and Vranje. A feasibility study is already under design and should be finished in December 2011. A request for the expropriation of land of general importance for the construction of roads, water supply system and telecommunications has already been submitted to the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Those interesting in investing in the industrial zone are carefully watching each of these steps.

The geographic position of Vladicin Han, which has a direct link to the road and railway routes of Corridor X, provides excellent conditions for the development of a cargo transport center (CTC).
The Spatial Plan for the municipality of Vladicin Han underlines that the favorable geographic position and an excellent connection with the road and railway routes define the area of the industrial zone Suva Morava as a possible location.
The minimum surface of the complex is about 5 hectares.
The complex will have to comprise a parking lot for freight trucks and passenger automobiles, car repair workshops, a local gas station (for gasoline and diesel fuel), an indoor storage space for agricultural products, an outdoor storage space for weatherproof materials, a cold storage plant for certain types of goods (fish, milk, fruits, etc.), a space for containers, an administrative and business checkpoint with premises for freight-forwarding services, a bank office, a space for reloading machines, internal roads, and a space allowing for undisturbed traffic flow within the complex.
Note : The Spatial Plan for Vladicin Han, adopted on 15 June 2010, was implemented by JUGINUS a.d from Belgrade.
